To address these limitations, this work presents Vistar, a cross-platform, image-based desktop application designed for extracting parameter values from colour-mapped simulation outputs using segmentation and colour-value mapping techniques. The tool enables freeform region selection on exported simulation images and translates colour-based information into numerical data using a calibrated colour legend. By decoupling from proprietary TCAD platforms and operating directly on image outputs, Vistar introduces a universal, tool-agnostic approach to simulation data analysis. The application is built using a modern tech stack, Electron for the desktop frontend and Flask for the backend logic, packaged into a standalone offline executable via PyInstaller.
